Therapeutic & Academic Support for EOTAS (Education Other Than in School):
Therapeutic & Academic Support for Education Other Than in School is also known as EOTAS:
This post provides information about EOTAS on a short, medium & long term basis – FOR THOSE SUPPORTING CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE:
T.E.N.T. PROVISION:
This is our own BESPOKE provision:
T.E.N.T. IS AN EOTAS PROVISION BASED ON POLYVAGAL THEORY:
T.E.N.T. is an acronym for Therapeutic Education for Neurodivergence & Trauma (including chronic stress and attachment issues).
Academic learning and the development of social skills and life skills for children and young people not attending school is a significant challenge.
We provide a range of flexible solutions. These may range from the short term support involved in:
- nurturing a pupil back into attending school;
- home educating a pupil for a full term or multiple terms prior to going back into the school;
- providing full time therapeutic education for a pupil who does not attend school.
- providing life skills and learning opportunities for those coming put of a secure psychological unit.
- TENT Paid Provision – For those who support children with trauma or neurodivergence.
- TENT FREE provision – Supports children AND the supportive adults (as per above) – but with a focus of support for everyone in a residential child care setting ( the children and carers). Requires funding feom the care home provider!
